Fordhall Farm Yurts are set on a beautiful 140-acre organic farm in the Tern Valley of North Shropshire, just outside the market town of Market Drayton. Surrounded by peaceful countryside, the site offers a unique glamping experience in traditionally crafted Mongolian yurts, all made in Shropshire. These charming and comfortable yurts provide the perfect base for a relaxing rural getaway, where guests can unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the farm and its surroundings.
Our two yurts are interconnected, providing the perfect getaway for up to six people. One is used as the bedroom and the other the living space.
The yurts are complete with compost toilet, camping shower, beds, wood burner, gas BBQ, bed linen and even a kitchen sink. At the right time of year, there is also an edible garden including marigolds, mint, gooseberries and damson trees, meaning you won’t have to go far for that quick snack!
There is a wood burner in the yurts which can be used to heat the yurts or boil the kettle or cook an egg. Our yurts are insulated with sheep’s wool, have cotton sheets on the beds, decking to sit out and admire the views along the Tern Valley and a bookshelf stocked with everything you could ever want.
The outside space features a beautiful, handcrafted oak frame with a larch roof to offer more sheltered space to relax in, ideal for providing shelter year round whilst savouring your surroundings.
Fordhall not only offers a landscape filled with wildlife and adventure but as England’s first community-owned farm, we also have regular events and activities that can entertain the whole family. Our charming organic farm shop is just a short walk away from the yurts and offers fantastic local produce.
