Situated in the peaceful countryside of the Derwent Valley, Linskeldfield Farm is a family-run working farm offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Located near Cockermouth in Cumbria, our glamping site enjoys beautiful rural surroundings and far-reaching views across the landscape, providing the perfect setting for a relaxing break in the heart of the countryside.
We have 3 glamping pods to choose from. All the pods are perfect for the ultimate countryside escape.
Mallard - Sleeps 4
This pod boasts a kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery. Toasty underfloor heating will keep you warm in the winter months. A double bed comes with a thick sprung mattress and there is also a sofa bed. Outside there is a decking area, offering a lovely spot to relax whilst savouring views towards Skiddaw. A fire pit is perfect for huddling around whilst hazing at the starry night sky.
Wigeon – Sleeps 2
Wigeon sleeps 2 and is great for a romantic getaway. The pod enjoys views over the local fells and Skiddaw. Inside this small but cosy pod is a kitchenette for basic cooking, including a fridge, microwave, 2 ring hob, kettle, toaster and cutlery, crockery. A seating area with a large table converts into a comfy bed.
Teal – Sleeps 2
This basic but relaxing pod sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults and a child. Inside there are electric sockets and lights, an oil fired radiator, carpet, black out curtains and a kettle. Enjoy a restful night’s sleep in the double bed, whilst fold out foam mattresses can also be provided. Outside there is a picnic bench, storage box with shelf to cook and a fire pit.
The pods are opposite the purpose built shared toilet and shower facilities. Laundry facilities are also available for a charge and there is a game room with pool table, darts, X Box and table football.
We have pitches for up to 5 hard standing caravans/motorhomes and 10 tents, plus a range of self catering cottages to choose from – please enquire for details.
