Barley Hill Pod offers a memorable glamping experience on the edge of the beautiful Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Set in a peaceful and tranquil rural location near Chard, it provides the perfect retreat for an idyllic holiday in Somerset, surrounded by rolling countryside and unspoilt landscapes.
Our pod is nestled in a private field, perfect for peace and seclusion. Onsite you can also see an abundance of birdlife, including Woodpeckers and Kingfishers. An enclosed duck pond is also opposite. Surrounding the pod are lots of oak trees and barley fields.
Inside the cosy pod is a well-equipped kitchen for home dining, including an oven, hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. A corner sofa and solid oak bar with stools are also available, plus a flat screen TV. Enjoy a restful night’s sleep on the double bed, whilst the en suite bathroom has a hot shower, basin, flushing toilet and a warm towel rail.
The outside terrace area comes with seating and a BBQ for al fresco dining whilst admiring the views. Soak away your troubles in the luxurious hot tub.
The Jurassic Coastline is easily accessed along with a variety of attractions such as the Fleet Air Arm Museum, National Trust houses and Gardens, Exmoor, Dartmoor and the Quantock Hills. Located within walking distance are two villages, both with shops and pubs offering lovely local food. Attractions to visit include:
